Elatochori is one of the few villages in Greece with its own ski resort. From Elation Rooms the slopes are about 8 km away, and in the evening you come back to a warm room in a quiet village.

Opening days depend on the snow. Last season the resort was open from 23 January to 12 March 2026. Before you set off, check the latest update on the official ski resort website, elatohori-ski.gr.
Ski equipment rental
You can rent ski and snowboard equipment at the ski resort. We recommend Pieria Ski, where our guests get a discount with the Elation Rooms discount card. You will find the card in your room.
The ski resort chalet
At the base of the slopes there is a two-storey stone and wood chalet with a fireplace. You can have a meal, a coffee, hot chocolate or tea there, and a drink after skiing.
Sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view of the mountain and the slopes. The chalet often hosts parties and events, so it is worth checking what is on before you go up.
Driving in winter
The municipality always keeps the road open, both to the village and to the ski resort. In winter there can still be snow or ice, so carry snow chains or snow socks and check the weather before you set off. On our home page you will find a 5-day weather forecast for Elatochori and the ski resort.
After the slopes
- A walk through Old Elatochori, with its stone lanes and views of Mount Olympus
