What data we collect
- When you contact us (phone, email, Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram): your name, contact details, dates of stay, number of guests and anything else you choose to tell us.
- When you book and stay with us: the details needed for your booking, payment and the legal obligations that apply to accommodation providers.
- When you visit this website: technical data such as IP address, device and browser type and pages visited, recorded automatically by our hosting platform for security and statistics.
- Security cameras: cameras operate in the common areas of the property, solely for the safety of our guests and the property. There are no cameras inside the rooms.
Why we use it
- To reply to your messages and manage your booking (performance of a contract).
- To send you your personal entry code and the information for your stay.
- To meet our tax and other legal obligations.
- For the security of our guests, the property and the website (legitimate interest).
Booking details: When you book on this website, we also ask for your ID or passport number, your address (country, city, area, street, postal code), your arrival and departure times and whether you will bring a pet. We use these details only for your booking, for issuing receipts and to meet the legal obligations of the accommodation.
We never sell your data or share it for advertising purposes.
Who else has access
Only we see your data. To run the website and communicate with you we rely on trusted providers who process data on our behalf: WordPress.com (Automattic) for website hosting, and Google (Gmail, Maps, Reviews), Viber, WhatsApp and Meta (Facebook, Instagram) when you choose to use them. Some of these may process data outside the EU under the safeguards required by the GDPR. Data may also be disclosed to public authorities where the law requires it.
Cookies
This website only uses cookies that are necessary for it to work securely, plus anonymous visitor statistics. If you follow links to Google Maps, Facebook, Instagram or other services, their own policies apply. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes. Camera footage is deleted automatically after a short period, unless it is needed to investigate an incident.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email us at elationrooms@gmail.com. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
